The "coreless coil" is a coil mainly incorporated into "coreless motors." Due to its structure, which lacks an iron core and has a lightweight rotor, it features characteristics such as "a reduced moment of inertia, resulting in improved response." It is also gaining attention for use in "slotless motors." There are production achievements ranging from very small items, finer than a pencil, to electric power steering for automobiles and high-speed spindles for machine tools.
